Out For Equality Founder Receives Icon of Change Award

Brian Rusch, founder of Out for Equality, receives the Icon of Change Award

SINGAPORE - Out for Equality founder Brian Rusch was selected as an honoree of The Icons of Change Awards. The Awards honor individuals and organizations making significant contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, innovation and community impact.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Rusch voiced how the LGBTQIA+ community is never explicitly mentioned in the SDGs, and yet the heart of the SDGs’ central promise to “leave no one behind” insists that If we are truly going to eradicate poverty, reduce inequality, and create a sustainable future, then ALL communities - including those too often marginalized - must be included in our vision.
