For three years now, the Bilitis and GLAS Foundations have been leading the fight for the professional inclusion of LGBTI+ people in Bulgaria. Through a large-scale program that includes professional training, career counseling, and psychotherapeutic support , the organizations are building bridges to better job adaptation and equality.
Through strategic partnerships with leading institutions and companies, as well as active participation in key career forums, Bilitis and GLAS have managed to connect hundreds of young people with potential employers. This direct contact has created real opportunities for professional development and full inclusion in the labor market. During this period, the foundations’ highly qualified career consultants have helped over 300 queer people increase their skills and confidence in job search and adaptation in the work environment.
Over the past year, activities have been supported and co-financed by the European Social Fund under the project “Connecting the Dots” . Implemented by Bilitis and GLAS in partnership with the Lithuanian Gay League (LGL) and the Lithuanian Diversity Charter, the project targets young people (NEETs), with the aim of providing them with better opportunities for employment, personal development and social inclusion.
