About Lakshya Trust
Working to improve the lives of Gay, Bisexual, Transgender/Hijra and Koti minority groups and communities. With a main focus on cultural, social, spiritual, physical and mental health of all sexual minority groups, the organization works on various issues addressing and advocating the social, economic, legal, psychological, spiritual and health aspects of sexual minorities.
PROGRAMS
HIV/AIDS Outreach & Awareness
Minimizing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among the vulnerable population in the community and to providing quality services for their sexual health needs, lessen the overall incidents of STI’s, HIV/AIDS through focused holistic intervention through enabling environment & empowering the community to seek safe sexual behavior.
Queer Bagh Rajpipla
Run out of an old palace property, Queer Bagh is a resource center serving the LGBTQIA+ community. Building hope and understanding; promoting equality, cohesion and visibility in the community; and eliciting action and spreading awareness through education.
Legal Counseling Center
Lakshya Trust works on the issues of domestic violence and legal aspects affecting women, we do this by providing guidance and counselling services to the clients regardless of their gender, religion, sex, sexual orientation and socio - economic background. We specialize in providing legal services for women.
A specific cell for women has been set up by Lakshya Trust which is headed by a senior female social worker.
