OUR IMPACT
Real people. Real progress. Lasting change.
Equality takes many forms: safety, opportunity, legal protection, a voice, and a place in history. These five areas connect the work of the organizations and initiatives we support.
01 / Protect
Supporting safety and dignity for LGBTQIA+ people facing persecution and discrimination. Our historical Uganda response included direct assistance, safety support, documentation, and help with international relocation. Out For Equality does not currently offer living-expense, medical-expense, or relocation services in Uganda.
02 / Empower
Education, vocational development, employment, and financial independence open new possibilities. Pride Home’s livelihood and skills-development programs in India have supported 67 graduates, creating pathways toward economic independence.
03 / Advocate
GLAS Foundation works toward a more inclusive Bulgaria through Rainbow Hub, Work It OUT, Sofia Pride, and advocacy for legal protections, including hate-crime legislative change. Its workplace inclusion initiatives have engaged 26+ corporate partners, reached 30,000+ employees, and delivered 200+ trainings.
04 / Amplify
Locally led journalism, cultural storytelling and creative expression make community voices heard and challenge the narratives that too often go unchallenged. In Liberia, journalRAGE provides an independent media platform documenting LGBTQIA+ experiences and elevating community voices. In Bulgaria, GLAS Foundation initiatives have reported a campaign reach of 1.8 million+ and 8.7 million+ campaign views. Through House of Otra, Out For Equality is expanding queer visibility globally, bringing diverse voices, perspectives and expressions into fashion, culture, lifestyle and contemporary media.
05 / Preserve
Queer histories belong in the broader historical and cultural record. Queer Ink preserves the lived experiences of queer Indians through oral histories, publishing, filmmaking, and cultural documentation, protecting these stories for future generations.
Reporting note: These achievements belong to the named partner programs and reflect different reporting periods. They are not cumulative Out For Equality totals or current-year figures. Historical humanitarian work is identified separately from current programming.
